Fun in the snow!
We certainly made the most of the snow at playtimes over the past week. Everyone was wrapped up warm and enjoyed building, rolling and playing with the snow. Some of the snowmen even lasted a few days.

In History, Year 1 and Year 2 worked with their buddies to research the famous explorer Christopher Columbus. We learnt lots of interesting facts about him and we now know why he is such a famous explorer.
Congratulation to the Credit Card tombola winners for this term. The lucky pair from each site have won a voucher for the Book House in Thame. For the first time ever a child was awarded a certificate and Book House voucher, for consistently demonstrating the school's values this term. Well done to all! [...]
Today we welcomed a visitor to both sites from the charity NSPCC. We celebrated Diwali - The Festival of Lights on Friday. We looked at the story of Rama and Sita and how families celebrate Diwali. We made rangoli patterns using coloured rice. We were delighted so many parents could join all the Infant children for our family Remembrance Service at Cuddington Church this week. Rev. Phil discussed the importance of poppies as a symbol of Remembrance. Three children lay a wreath from all all the pupils, parents and staff at our school.
The Infants have been busy working with their buddies to design and create a hand puppet. They designed and sewed a character from Pinocchio, which links to the toys topic and story being studied. Congratulations to the new School Council representatives at the Infant site. Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 children voted this afternoon, choosing friendly, trustworthy and approachable classmates to represent their views with a wider group.
