Admissions

On this page you will find full details of our school admissions policy, including our criteria for admissions, how to apply for a place at our school and our oversubscription criteria. You will also find information about how you can find out more about our admissions policy and how to appeal if you are unhappy with the school place you are offered for your child.

The Published Admission Number for all year groups is 26.
The School participates in Buckinghamshire’s Fair Access Protocol.

In-year Admissions

Our School manages its own in-year admissions. Please contact the school office: office@cds.school in the first instance for more information.  The in-year Application form is available here. This should be returned to the school office.  If there are no available places in the required year group, you may be placed on a waiting list which is reviewed regularly by the Headteacher.

Catchment

Our catchment parishes include: Cuddington, Dinton, Chearsley, Nether Winchendon and Ford, please see the map below.  For further details please look here.

Appeals

Where an application for a place at the school is unsuccessful, parents have the right to appeal against the decision. (If you have been offered a place at another school then please first take the time to visit that school; you may find that it meets all your child’s needs and that you would be happy for your child to go to that school). Should you wish to challenge an unsuccessful application for a place at Cuddington and Dinton School please email the school office to request an Appeals Form. Once completed, please return to school for the attention of the Admissions Panel.

Following receipt of this form, the school Admissions Panel will officially meet to discuss the grounds of this appeal, taking all given information into account. You will be notified in writing as to the outcome of this internal review within 5 days.

If you are unhappy with the result of the initial outcome, you have the right to pursue this appeal further, by notifying the Chair of Governors: chair@cds.school in writing along with any extra evidence you would like to submit. Your appeal will be escalated to an external and independent admissions panel led by the Oxford Diocese.
