We are proud that our school maintains close links with its communities.

In addition to our very strong links with both St Nicholas’ and SS Peter & Paul’s churches, we keep close links with our Parish Council’s, both of which have websites:

Cuddington Fete

This event is a highlight in the school calendar. The roads are closed and the fete fills the village. Children from Year 6 and staff run a children’s stall with a number of games and prizes to be won. The fete committee generously support our school with a donation.

Flower procession

May dancing and flowers

The Infant children process around Cuddington village in May and present home-picked bunches of flowers to parishioners.  Spring songs are sung on the village greens, with a traditional summer dancing display by all classes back at school.  This year parents joined us for a picnic on the paddock.

Each year we hold a special Remembrance service and visit the War memorial at Cuddington and Dinton Churches.  We lay a wreath and the children say a prayer for those who gave their lives for our country in WWI, WWII and more recent conflicts.  Wreaths are also placed at the War memorials in Chearsley and Nether Winchendon.

A service of thanks is held annually at St Nicholas Church Cuddington. This gives the whole school an opportunity to celebrate together.  Children kindly donate food items which are used by the Vineyard food bank.  The Church sell home grown produce to the local community.  Money raised supports Rohingya refugees from Myanmar.

Christmas tree

Christmas tree

The Infant children create decorations for the Christmas tree which the Parish Council errects on the village green.  This much loved event is a chance for creative talents to flourish.
