Welcome to the Cuddington & Dinton C of E School
We are a primary school spread across two village sites: the Infant site based in Cuddington and the Junior site based in Dinton. Our 164 pupils range between the ages of 4 and 11 and this year is our first at our full compliment having just established our first Year 6 class in September.
The school is privileged to enjoy strong links with supportive local communities and the church, relishing the history and traditions of our villages whilst moving our school and, most importantly, our pupils’ education forward.
We welcome visits from prospective parents and extend a warm invitation to local residents to attend our events and services outlined in our calendar.
The communities covered by our catchment area are Cuddington, Chearsley, Nether Winchendon, Dinton, Upton, Westlington and Ford.
Primary school catchment areas can be seen on the link below.

All aboard The Golden Hinde with Year 4
Year 4 have returned safely from their voyage aboard The Golden Hinde. Touring the Tudor portraits in the National Portrait Gallery before spending the afternoon living the life of a sailor, the children then stayed the night 'sleeping' on the Gunner's deck among the cannons and powder kegs! INVITATION TO SHARE IN THE VISION | 03rd October 2011
Invitation to share in the vision for the rebuild & extension of the fire damaged buildings in Dinton.
As many of you will know earlier this year our school buildings in Dinton caught fire and sustained serious damage. Rather than simply rebuild the school, the Governors and School would like to take the opportunity to improve the facilities and accommodation provided by the school buildings and create a ‘best in class’ and inspirational educational environment for the children.
The Headteacher and Governors of Cuddington & Dinton C of E School would like to invite residents from our local and catchment communities to visit the school to hear about plans for our proposed extension and reinstatement.
Monday 3rd October 2011 4.00pm-6.00pm
We are holding the event at the Dinton School site where proposed plans will be on display and there will be the opportunity to talk to us about the proposals. We look forward to seeing you there.
We are also in the process of arranging to be share the vision & plans with the parents and children of the school and will be contacting the parents seperately.

“Alice”
Years 4 & 5 presented a most stunning production of “Alice” in the Bernard Hall on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.
Parents, Grandparents and friends were enthralled by some quite brilliant performances and an overall standard that did the school proud. So many staff have to be thanked but Mrs Thomas and Mr Tomson in particular must be acknowledged for their contributions.

WEBSITE LAUNCH
Dear Visitor,
We have decided to launch the website earlier than planned and a little before the website is actually fully complete to act as place that we can post the most up to date information about the fire at the Dinton site.
Please bear with us while the other areas of the site are fully populated with information and excuse any typos and mistakes while we get the website fully ready for the Autumn term 2011.
Thank you for your patience.

DINTON FIRE UPDATE 02 | 07 July 2011
Long Term Planning
A working group of Governors has been set up in order to evaluate options and manage the implementation of work to reinstate the Junior site. Thorough consultations will take place with all stakeholders and the final decision will be made by the full Governing Body.
The group is being chaired by Mr Roger Pratap, who is one of our Foundation Governors, as well as being a parent. It will endeavour to take as much pressure off the school Leadership team as possible allowing them to focus on Teaching and Learning.
Until initial options have been investigated it will be impossible to give any precise timescales but as indicated in our last letter the completion of any work is going to be well into next year and we may even be talking about not being ready until Autumn term 2012.

DINTON FIRE UPDATE 01 | 07 July 2011
Short Term Planning
For the next two weeks until the end of term we will continue to be using the Bernard Hall, St Nicholas’ Church and the Infant Hall for the Junior classes.
As preparation for next term the Governing Body has examined a number of options for the siting of temporary classrooms and has decided to locate the classrooms for Years 3, 4, 5 & 6 on the Infant site paddock. These are very high quality and offer all the benefits of permanent classrooms.
