Year 5 Science.
Year 5 have had fun in science with their forces topic. After designing and making parachutes to test air resistance, much fun was had testing the chutes.

Apprentice Antics
As part of the Year 5 maths curriculum Year 5 had to run their own business for a week, measuring out shapes to particular specifications to make money. They were given £50 at the beginning of the week and had to pay for resources, rent and wages! The children were also asked to keep accounts. [...]
Expelliarmus!
Years 5 and 6 had a magical time at the Warner Brother's Harry Potter Studio Tour. Plenty of inspiration for their 'Heroes & Villains' topic and especially their writing. All children returned in one piece and avoided any transfiguratons!
Secrets of the Rainforest
Year 5 and 6 are currently exploring the unique habitat of tropical Rainforests. Looking at both vegetation and the wildlife, the children have located the areas of rainforest around the word and painted diagrams of the forest structure. Year 5 and 6 had a great time visiting the Globe Theatre on Monday 9th February. The children experienced clothing in Shakespearean times and watched a sword fighting demonstration with a variety of weapons!
