On Thursday the 12th of October Cuddington and Dinton School played Brill School (who won the league last year!). Congratulations to Freddie, George and Rory for their first time playing a match.
Freddie was an excellent goalie keeping us in the game, especially in the first half, making some incredible saves. Jackson C, the captain, was in defence and made some incredible tackles along with Jackson T and Jacob.
Moving on to midfield, Rory and Jacob were amazing holding up the play and creating loads of chances for attacks. Jacob did some super skills to get past the defenders and was unlucky not to score. Rory had a great effort at shooting and sadly deflected off the defence.
On the wing, Raph and Blayne were excellent at putting the ball in the back of the net and making loads of chances for our strikers. Blayne scored an excellent penalty which put us level with Brill. Raph scored an fantastic goal to tie us 2-2, shortly after Blayne scored an easy tap in from Ned’s amazing pass to force a penalty shootout right in the depths of the game.
Finally our wonderful strikers, Ned and George put an incredible effort into the game and assisted most of our strikes. George played amazingly as it was his first game on the pitch!
Sadly we lost in penalties. A huge thank you to Mr Peaks and Mrs Brogan and all the parents for supporting us for our first match from the touchline.
