On Tuesday 25th March Year 5 took part in a STEM day with the Royal Air Force association. We learn that STEM stands for: Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.
For the first half of the morning we were designing and then building paper rockets. Next we launched them outside with paper straws that we blew through. they were tested at an angle between 0 and 90 degrees- this was an important point!
In the afternoon we designed sustainable, eco-friendly aircraft to help produce less pollution in the environment.
Thank you to Mrs Thomas for arranging this day.
