Some of our Year 1 pupils were very lucky to experience the first fire in Forest School on Monday with Miss Bailey. They were introduced to flint and steel and how the sparks can be used to light a fire. Also, they were shown the ‘magic circle’ which helps the children to know where they can and cannot go when a fire has been lit. We look forward to using the fire pit more and maybe cooking some yummy food on it. If anyone has some firewood/kindling that they are not using or would like to donate some to the school that would be amazing.
