Miss Webb takes part in Buckinghamshire school improvement programme ‘ Early Years Side by Side: Providers in Partnership (PiP). This initiative provides regular opportunities for practitioners to work together; focusing on partnership working between settings and schools. The objective being to proactively raise outcomes for ALL children.  The PiP promotes collaboration and practitioners coming together to develop a shared understanding of successful strategies, through which they are working jointly to close achievement gaps. Through taking part in this Early Years initiative it generates funding for Early Years settings. We have used this years grant to purchase some lovely new neutral furniture for the classroom to create a calm and inviting environment, which will help to lower the cognitive load for children as well as giving them easy access to independently choose their learning. The grant was significantly larger than last year and has enabled us also to purchase some outdoor resources. We have a lovely new mud kitchen shed- enabling us to go out in all weathers, a playdough station and lidded sandbox. Towards the end of the year we review the impact and provide case studies back to the PiP group. It would be great if parents could make some comments on Tapestry, providing feedback to the new changes and resources.
