This week the Little Owls have been learning about different places, as part of our Explorer, Explorer topic. We enjoyed creating a French Cafe. We waved our flags and practised the French words we had learnt: bonjour, au revoir and merci, whilst we enjoyed a croissant or brioche at the cafe. We enjoyed listening to some accordion music with the Eiffel Tower in the background. We then moved on to thinking about the hot continent of Africa. We focused on some of the animals that live there. We went on to create some super camouflage pictures. The children demonstrated great dexterity by carefully cutting out their animals and made springs to raise it off of a matching piece of paper to help camouflage. They look very effective!
