Bug Club Phonic Screening Information for Parents 2025

The Phonics Screening check is for all Year 1 pupils and any Year 2 pupil who did not achieve the required mark last June, when they were accessed in Year 1. Phonics is taught daily by each class teacher on the Infant site. Daily 5 minute interventions are used to ensure all pupils have good phonics knowledge. Phonics is a key building block for reading and writing.
