The Little Owl Class have enjoyed Gruffalo Day to end our ‘Once upon a time…’ story topic. We started the day by listening to the Gruffalo story and then we went on a story trail, where the children followed the Little Brown Mouse. The clues led us to meet the fox, the owl, the snake and finally….the GRUFFALO! This caused much excitement. In the afternoon we invited the parents in for a Gruffalo Get-together- we started by reciting our Gruffalo rhyme and then moved onto mask making and ended with a delicious owl-ice cream in the forest!
All was quiet in the deep dark wood. The mouse found a nut and the nut was good!
