Year 1 have been studying Remembrance Day in their topic and RE lessons. Miss Good and Mrs Herbert took the children to the church to look at the war memorial and to spot features inside the church. The children spent time sketching and reading the names on the memorial. The teachers hope that the children may visit their local war memorials with their parents or carers and perhaps even watch the Remembrance Day parade on TV at the weekend. The children have practised being quiet for 1 minute and all agreed that it was far longer than they had thought.
