Sports day was for all children to enjoy both n0n-competitive sports in the morning, contrasting with a more traditional sports day in the afternoon.  The whole day of sporting events was held at the Junior site school field.  Thankfully the forecast rain didn’t appear, leaving us to enjoy a perfect June day of sports.

For the non-competitive morning children worked in house teams to compete twelve short challenges:  from a water obstacle course, to goal scoring with football and netball.  The afternoon saw traditional running races, egg and spoon, long distance and relay; shot-put throw and standing long jump.

Congratulations to all who took part, for demonstrating our school values, supporting each other and showing good team spirit.  Well done to the red house ‘Lovelace’ who took the trophy in a tightly battled contest.
