On Monday year 3 and 4 visited Science Oxford. This trip was a fantastic opportunity for the children to work scientifically and get experiences we normally couldn’t offer in the classroom.
Year 3 enjoyed a forces workshop where they made a model out of junk, making it roll and fall into an object and knock something over exploring the different forces behind each action.
Year 4 took part in a changing materials workshop, where they had the chance to investigate the melting points of different objects from wax to small pieces of metal.
A highlight of the day was the ‘Exploration room’ where children had an opportunity to touch and feel scientific forces through games. One children referred to it was ‘the play room’, certainly a fun way to learn!
