Sport is a vital part of our pupil’s development and we continually strive to challenge the children and extend our provision. Offering a full seasonal PE curriculum, we provide sports clubs throughout the week and maintain several competitive sports teams for our Junior children- who compete across the county. A small number of past and present pupils are elite athletes, our school works in close partnership with parents and coaches to maintain the broadest balanced education for their child.
‘Learn and Master’ provide coaches for PE lessons at both our Infant and Junior sites. They offer four after school sports clubs, which children can be booked onto on a termly basis.
Mrs Pearce and Mrs Arnott train our highly competitive netball team, having won the netball league for the last two years. They also work hard to forge links with local schools, sports clubs and leagues.
As part of this, the school is part of Haddenham Area School Sports Partnership (H.A.S.S.P.) formed in 2014 to strengthen links between school in friendly and competitive sports, making use of the Sports Premium Funding in providing a high level of physical activity across primary key stages.
We have been awarded the Gold Sports Mark for the last two years. For the year 2016-17 we were runner up for the Bucks and Milton Keynes Primary School Sports award. We have been awarded ‘Highly Commended’ for the year 2017-18.
