Physical Education at Cuddington and Dinton
At Cuddington and Dinton C of E, we provide a high-quality physical education to ensure children attain optimum physical and emotional development and good health. We create a culture which inspires active generations to enjoy PE, encourage each other and achieve. We provide a safe and supportive environment for children to flourish in a range of different physical activities, essential in supporting their physical, emotional, social and moral development. Our children have opportunities to compete in sport and other physical activities that build character and help to embed the school values. We provide opportunities for children to learn how to swim with lessons in year 3 and 4 with catch up lessons for all key stage 2 children that can swim 25ms.
We aspire for children to adopt a positive mind-set and believe that anything can be achieved with determination and resilience. Our curriculum and opportunities for sport outside of the curriculum, aims to improve the wellbeing and fitness of all children, not only through the sporting skills taught, but through the underpinning values and disciplines PE promotes.
We are passionate about the need to teach children how to cooperate and collaborate with others, as part of a team, understanding fairness and equity of play to embed life-long values. Providing our children with the skills and knowledge to achieve future success in their next steps.
