Following a visit from ‘The Bee Team’ and their hive, the children of Years 3 and 4, (plus two year 5s) engaged in a week of learning about bees. With an emphasis on team work and creating their own challenges and tasks, the children focussed on several areas of learning all with a view to creating an exhibition for each other at the end of the week. Not only have they discovered more about the importance of bees, but they have also learnt a lot about collaborative working, decision making, time management, how to evaluate what they have produced and how effective the processes were. Finally, the children also tried to think about how to present their learning for the enjoyment of others. The level of engagement from all was excellent and much fun was had along the way!
